Key West Photographer – Fun at Bahia Honda
April 19, 2010Bath
February 16, 2010I recently saw a similar image on another photographer’s blog. And since I have a squishy yummy baby (aka Silas), I decided that I had to have one of these images for myself. It is actually one in a series of him taking a bath in the kitchen sink. Oh how I love this image.
Watching them grow and seeing the world through amazed little eyes is fascinating. As a photographer, I am lucky enough to capture those moments with my camera. This bath is one of those things, in this moment, he has recently fallen in love with his hands. See how he’s holding them? This passage in time is fleeting. I am really looking forward to this spring and photographing Silas’s first dip into the ocean in Key West (Fort Zachary Taylor is calling my name!)
Updates.
December 19, 2009As many of you already know, my husband left for Afghanistan last weekend. Tomorrow will officially be the one week mark. One down, 51 to go. (I’ve decided that my official countdown will not include his two week vacation home in the middle)
Before he left, I insisted on a photo session. I dragged my sister to the beach early one morning so I could be in a few. And to those of you looking forward to the Hobi Cat images, we’ll have to take a family out for a session soon. My family just did not have enough time to get that done.
Thank you so much to my sister, Jen, for catching this moment.
And yes, I will continue my photography business while he’s away. (a few people asked, so I wanted to clarify)
This next picture makes me think of them as adults. And how (hopefully) they will remember the love they shared and cherish this image of them, together as little friends.
They are laughing because, mere moments before….he was telling a secret!
Like I’ve said before, sharing images is so hard for me, I want to share them all. All the little moments, they make up our lives, and I am lucky enough to capture a few of them on my camera.
So there are just two more for now,
A special bond between the oldest and the youngest…
And finally, “if you’re getting a hug from daddy, then I am too!” At least that’s what it sounded like to me.
I saw the best referral offer ever on someone else’s photography blog this morning, and I’ve decided to use it too. For anyone that has portraits taken, and refers a friend you both will receive a 11×14 image of your choosing.
